Football carnival

8am: Indigenous Reconciliation Carnival at Ian Coomb Oval, CQUniversity. Adults $10, pensioner and children under 17 $5. This is an alcohol and drug free event.

Photography workshop

9am: Rockhampton Photography Club exhibition and workshop in the Kern Arcade, East St. Take Your Best Shot free workshop starts at 10am.

Easter exhibition

10am: Nob Creek Pottery Easter Exhibition, gallery located 37km north of Yeppoon on the Byfield road.

Easter rodeo

4pm: Easter Rodeo at The Great Western Hotel, Stanley St. Main rodeo ride at 8pm.

Rocky speedway

4pm: Rockhampton Speedway is on at Rockhampton Showgrounds. Gates open 4pm, racing from 6pm. Entry fees apply.

Old time/New vogue Dance

7.30pm: Old Time/ New Vogue Dance at The Cawarral Community Hall. Supper included. For more Information phone 49354866.

Easter Sunday at Mecure

9am: Mercure Capricorn Resort Easter long weekend offers a hot cross bun eating competition, a church service in the chapel, live music from 2pm, as well as outdoor movies. Visitors not staying in-house can purchase a day pass by phoning 4925 2525.

1pm: Country Music at Yeppoon Town Hall. Entry $8 includes afternoon tea.

Ride the mini trains this Easter

1pm: Miniature trains are operating at Leichhardt Park on Campbell and Cambridge St. Cost is $2 per ride or $10 unlimited rides. Enclosed footwear is essential to ride the trains.
