17-year-old killed in crash at Kaperra

A MAN has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Kaperra earlier this morning.

Initial information suggests that at around 12.40am, a vehicle that was travelling on Settlement Road left the road a struck a tree.

Earlier, police attempted to intercept the vehicle around 12.30am on Samford Road but have pulled over to the side of the road when the vehicle failed to stop.

A 17-year old Ashgrove man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Ethical Standards Command have been advised, and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
