1920s night for a cancer cure
IT'S time to get out your flapper dress and dancing shoes - a 1920s themed night is kicking off for a good cause.
Local man Zach Curry - aka DJ Zed - is taking part in the World's Greatest Shave this year and to raise funds ahead of his brush with the razor, he's bringing a great night of music and mocktails to the Red Dahlia Bar on Friday, March 3.
The event is supported by Swanwick Murray Roche Lawyers.
Entry is just a gold coin donation, so bring your best moves and get ready for everything from electro swing to 90s hits.
Blood cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death in Australia, and every day another 35 people will be diagnosed.
The Leukaemia Foundation hopes to raise $1.7 million this year.
Fundraisers like this one support the Leukaemia Foundation's work providing emotional and practical support to families facing blood cancer, and fund vital research that will mean more people survive, while improving their quality of life.
And while you're contributing to that important work, you'll be having a great time - so break out your sharp suit or your flapper dress and get dolled up in your 1920s finery for a night of great music.
