$230 million jet and yacht in Mackay, Whitsunday
ONE of the richest men in the world, billionaire Viktor Vekselberg, could be in the Whitsundays on holidays.
The Ukrainian-born businessman's US$80million private jet has been parked at Mackay Airport since Thursday.
And on top of that, his US$150million super yacht Tango is sitting outside Hamilton Island.
According to the Marina Traffic website, the yacht which can house 14 guests and 22 crew members has been cruising around Whitsunday Island since Thursday after it was sailed up from Sydney.
Its last recorded position this morning was just outside the Cumberland Islands.
According to website Boat International, Tango is the 126th largest yacht in the world.
The 77.7m super yacht also was also a winner at the World Superyacht Awards and Show Boats Design Awards 2012.
Meanwhile, Mr Vekselberg's private jet can easily be seen from Bridge Rd as is the massive size of the plane that seats 20 people and was built in 2009.
According to Forbes, Mr Vekselberg is worth US$14.1billion.
It reports he made his first million selling copper from old cables before taking over a tractor factory.
He then bought aluminium smelters and bauxite mines.
Mr Vekselberg is believed to have close links to the Kremlin.
