30 years of the Apple Mac produces staggering video

APPLE is celebrating the 30th birthday of the Mac computer and its family of gadgets today.

The Macintosh was first introduced to the public on January 24, 1984, and the brand has since grown to be one of the largest in the world.

To mark the occasion, Apple sent 15 camera crews all over the world to demonstrate the capability of the Apple family.

From sunrise in Melbourne to nightfall in Los Angeles, they documented people doing amazing things with Apple products.

They shot over 70 hours of footage - all with the iPhone 5s. Then it was edited and scored with an original soundtrack.

Apple claims that the technology used cut the production time of the video down from several months to a matter of days.

From beginning to end, every part of the video's production can trace its history back to the original 1984 Mac.
