46 heifers stolen from cattle property

POLICE have today called on the public's help to find 46 head of cattle allegedly stolen from an Aramac property.

The Droughtmaster Weaner heifers are believed to have been stolen from Leichardt Farms last month.

Police understand the cattle had recently been de-pastured in a paddock as they were being prepared for sale.

Upon being mustered on a second occasion it was noticed that some cattle from the herd were missing.

Extensive searches of surrounding paddocks and areas failed to locate the animals.

The Longreach Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad is investigating.
