50-year favourite for sale: Iconic business on the market

IN OPERATION for nearly 50 years, the chance has been opened up for someone fresh to run one of the Sunshine Coast's most well-known cafes.

Flaxton Barn is for sale, the iconic cafe with antique/gift shop attached has been serving up home-made scones, apple pie and more, operating since 1969, nestled between Mapleton and Montville.

Morning teas on the rear deck overlooking the range and gardens has proven a hit with many, and the chance to hand over ownership is now on.

Training and support has been offered to the new owners, whoever they may be, and is being advertised as a great opportunity for a couple of partnership to run the well-established business.

A favourite of antiques collectors and treasure hunters in the region, it's a recognisable stop on the hinterland tourist route, thanks in large to the big pig out the front.
