CAPRICORNIA ODDS

  • Leisa Neaton tightens her grip on Capricornia.
  • 90% of punters are tipping the Labor candidate to unseat Michelle Landry.

LABOR'S Leisa Neaton has one foot in the front door of Parliament House in Canberra, with sportsbet.com.au cutting her odds to win the seat of Capricornia.

The online bookie has cut Ms Neaton from $1.35 into $1.28, while current Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry has drifted from $3.00 out to $3.50.

Punters continue to bet big on Ms Neaton, with 90% of the money heading her way.

The biggest bet on Ms Neaton to win the seat is $6,100, with $500 the biggest on Ms Landry.

In neighbouring Flynn, 90% of the money is on Ken O'Dowd, who has been cut from $1.30 into $1.25, with Labor's Zac Beers out from $3.30 to $3.50.

Ewen Jones has also attracted 90% of the money in Herbert, and remains $1.25 favourite, with George Christensen attracting 80% of the money in Dawson, and is priced at $1.20 to hold his seat.

"Punters have identified Capricornia as one of the Queensland seats that will change hands at the July 2 election, with Labor's Leisa Neaton the white hot favourite to earn a ticket to Canberra when Parliament resumes," said sportsbet.com.au's Ben Bulme.
