Alleged killer faces court with murder charge over stabbing

UPDATE 12.55: SEBASRIANO Garofalo sat in the docks of the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today with his right arm in a sling as a result of a stabbing incident last week. 

The alleged killer is charged with one count of grievous bodily harm, one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. He will be remanded in custody until his next court date on November 11. 

 

 

A 33-YEAR-OLD man allegedly involved in a stabbing incident at a homeless mens hostel in Rockhampton earlier this month will now face a murder charge.

Police have upgraded the charges relating to the incident which happened on September 15.

Police were called to an Alma Street address at around 7am, after a 33-year-old local man had allegedly stabbed two men.

The men, aged 32 and 33, received wounds to their chest and abdomen and were transported to Rockhampton Hospital.

The 32-year-old man died on September 16.

Police took the 33-year-old local man into custody and he was later charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm.

Police have now upgraded the charges to one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

The man is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
