Beards fans get up close and personal at live Rocky show
SOME punters got to experience The Beards performance in Rockhampton last Friday night by using more senses than just their hearing.
Getting right amongst the bearded band members, some of the audience were lucky enough to actually feel the beards that the group so fondly sing about.
The rock group that sing only about facial hair played to an excited crowd at The Lionleigh.
But it wasn't their first visit to the Beef Capital.
With a three-album back catalogue of crowd favourites like If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard, You've Got Two Mums, You Should Consider Sex with a Bearded Man and No Beard, No Good, The Beards continue in their ceaseless journey to make the world a more beard-friendly place.
The Beards have gained a cult following in Australia after touring the nation relentlessly over the last few years, and Rockhampton is certainly appreciative of their mission.
Their ability to write well-crafted rock songs with lyrics only about facial manes is admirable in itself.
Support act Franky Walnut was the perfect opener to the show, riling up the crowd with his witty comedic lines about all things Aussie.
