Faulty appliance may have electrocuted two men

POLICE believe two men found dead in a Sydney unit were electrocuted.

The men, aged in their 50s and 70s, were found in a Randwick flat at the weekend after a neighbour noticed water flowing from the unit.

Police established a crime scene and were investigating the incident.

Eastern Beaches duty officer Inspector Steven Egbers told the Sydney Morning Herald police believed a faulty electrical appliance could have been responsible for the deaths.

Post mortems will be conducted to determine the cause of the deaths; however, police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

Police are investigating whether the deaths are due to misadventure.
