Paragliding Lisa wants to grow gliding community in CQ
LISA Bradley is getting Central Queensland ready to fly.
The paragliding and hang gliding instructor is about to land in Rockhampton and run a training program on August 2.
"I want to grow the gliding community there; it used to be quite a vibrant, active club but with no instructor there it's fallen away a little bit," Lisa said.
"Tim Osborn has grown the club there recently, and what we want to do is build a really strong club and get more free flyers into it.
"We just want to grow the sport; we don't want to see it die."
Lisa, who has been teaching for 14 years, is the only female instructor in Australia.
She's also one of two teachers in the country to hold a chief flight instructor's rating for both paragliding and hang gliding.
Lisa will run a nine day hang gliding license course in Rockhampton from August 2 to 10.
