Promotions manager position vacated after two months on job

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council on Monday confirmed the Regional Promotions Manager role was vacant after only two months.

The position was announced in this year's budget. Council CEO Evan Pardon yesterday said council was looking for someone to fill this position.

In June, Mayor Margaret Strelow said the position was not about the "traditional tourism promotions" generally undertaken by Capricorn Enterprise, but would "focus on Rockhampton region as a place to set up a business, set up home and set up a life".
