Author of Tomorrow, When the War Began worked in Rockhampton

ONE of the giants of Australian young adult literature has a surprising connection to the Beef Capital.

John Marsden, author of teen fiction blockbuster Tomorrow, When the War Began, spent time working in Rockhampton during the 1970s.

While he's better known for his young-adult fiction, John's first adult novel, South of Darkness, will be in stores tomorrow.

Don't miss Rocky Life, out next Wednesday, in which John talks about Australia's history and writing for adults.
