Accused cattle rustler expected to plead guilty

BRENDAN Philip Olm will plead guilty to charges of cattle stealing in Toowoomba, the Chinchilla Magistrates Court has heard.

After numerous adjournments, Magistrate Robbie Davies agreed on Thursday to a request from Olm's solicitors, Wonderley and Hall, to have the matters dealt with in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court next week.

There was no objection to the request by the police prosecutor.

Olm will be sentenced on five charges - including stock stealing, illegal branding and removing cattle tags when not authorised - in Toowoomba on Tuesday, June 20.
