Adam Belot says Yeppoon Foreshore is the heartbeat
THE Yeppoon Foreshore is the heartbeat of the Capricorn Coast, and the redevelopment transformation will signal that our time has come to shine. Essentially, we are competing for a slice of the economic pie that comes with people choosing where they will work and play. Therefore, a vibrant foreshore that creates a safe, relaxed space for all to enjoy will mean people stay longer, and return more frequently. The redevelopment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a community to be involved, and I am determined that it will be built by the people for the people.
There have been many achievements that LSC is proud to have accomplished in the short term since being elected. The recovery of our communities post Cyclone Marcia, successful funding applications and significant investment in capital works projects: Panorama Drive, Centenary of Anzacs, Yeppoon Foreshore Redevelopment and The Gateway Industrial Park to name a few.
Yet perhaps greater than these physical assets, is the positive partnerships LSC is building within the community. As a council we have worked hard to rebuild trust, so our ratepayers and citizens feel connected and valued. Our people are our priority.
As I like to say, "welcome to the Livingstone Shire, a place of friendly coastal villages and rural communities".
