AFS Pharmacies fund to help groups

LOCAL community groups and clubs are integral to a strong and healthy community.

As a long-standing local, community-owned organisation, AFS Pharmacies recently created the AFS Community Support Fund, proudly providing financial support to local community groups and clubs.

The Capricorn Region Bonsai Society is the inaugural beneficiary of the AFS Community Support Fund.

CEO of AFS Pharmacies Mark Woltmann said: "This is a wonderfully simple example of how the local community can support and strengthen itself. Via a simple act of preferentially choosing to shop with our local, community-owned pharmacy group, it enables AFS Pharmacies to generate the resources to operate the AFS Community Support Fund.

"With now over 25 local clubs and organisations registered with AFS, over time there will be significant financial support flowing from the fund. AFS actively invites any other interested local club/associations to visit any of our three pharmacies and register to access the Community Support Fund."
