Agnes Beach closed, trees uprooted

SAFETY concerns have forced authorities to close Agnes Beach at Agnes Water.

Strong wind gusts, swells of up to four metres and heavy rain has caused erosion to the beach and the undermining of sand dunes.

Several sheoak trees have also been uprooted.

The beach will remain closed until further notice and residents are urged to keep checking Gladstone Regional Council's website for updates.
