ALDI's arrival music to Melody's ears

ROCKHAMPTON shopper Melody Kowald says the incoming ALDI stores will only be a plus for the region's supermarket scene.

After moving up from Sydney 12 months ago, Melody has watched the retail sector grow. The German giant will see it escalate to new heights.

"I think it will be a really good thing, interesting to see how the other supermarkets go in terms of price point,” Melody said.

"ALDI tend to have quite a wide range of products and unique brands and a more advantaged price point.

"I would try ALDI, I would go there for more specific, seasonal stuff. They do really cool Christmas or Easter stuff that they others don't do. That is where I like them.

"The shopping scene has come a long way in the last few years, people from out of town are coming here and it is great to have so much more options.”
