All-Brothers Premier League netball final tonight

IT WILL be an all-Brothers netball final tonight as Brothers McHugh take on Brothers Thompson at Jardine Park for Premier League supremacy.

Brothers Thompson captain Rebecca Thompson said her team would look to play to their strengths by exploiting their height advantage and slowing down McHugh.

"Brothers McHugh are like us, with strong, talented junior players," Thompson said.

"We will need to play to our strengths to beat them. They play a typically fast game, so we will need to slow that down.

"We also have a height advantage. Out two tall players, Bec Hall and Lily Bartlem, have been playing well for us and we will look to them to get over the top of their McHugh opponents."

Other players Thompson will rely on are Laynie Hethrington in centre court, Lorrie Upton up front to shoot goals and Hall in defence.

Playing the Premier League season in different pools, the two Brothers squads are yet to meet. But Brothers Thompson will like their chances, having only dropped one game this season.

The former Claws player, Thompson will team up with Emma Case to coach Brothers Crimson in next season's Senior A division.
