Alleged Central Queensland child sex offender granted bail

A MAN accused of sex offences against a child has been granted bail.

The man appeared in the Mackay Magistrates Court yesterday charged with two counts of rape, six counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12 years as a lineal descendant, guardian or carer and one count of indecent treatment of children under 16.

He cannot be named for legal reasons.

The alleged offences occurred between 2003 and 2012 at various locations in Central Queensland. He was granted bail with no contact and residential conditions.

The matter was adjourned.
