Woman to be flown to Brisbane with life threatening injuries
UPDATE 4.15pm Monday: THE 47-year-old Yeppoon woman is in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the crash.
UPDATE 8.30am: A 47-year-old Yeppoon woman has suffered life-threatening injuries following a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Ironpot yesterday.
Initial information suggests at 3pm, a motorcycle was travelling along Rockhampton Yeppoon Road when it crashed between Access Two and Three.
It is believed the woman will be flown to Brisbane for further treatment.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
UPDATE 5pm: A SPOKESPERSON from the Rockhampton Police Service said the woman involved in the the motorcycle accident was taken to hospital with "life threatening head injuries".
The woman's current condition is unknown.
UPDATE 3:40pm: REPORTS suggest the driver was a woman aged in her forties and has been taken to the Rockhampton Hospital.
UPDATE 3.36pm: POLICE have been requested to take blood from the driver once they reach the hospital for testing purposes.
BREAKING 3.20pm: AMBULANCE crews are attending the scene of a motorcycle crash on the Rockhampton-Yeppoon Rd.
It is believed it was a single vehicle accident, with only one person injured.
A representative from the Queensland Fire Service said the accident occurred near the Go-Kart track.
