Annual Debutante Ball in full swing

ON May 27 at the Moranbah Community Centre nine debutantes and their partners will be presented to Mayor of the Isaac Regional Council Anne Baker at the 6th Annual Quota Debutante Ball.

Event organiser Judy Naumann said "This year we have some second generation Debs and Partners taking part in the Moranbah Debutante Ball”.

Debutante Katie Busk is the granddaughter of Lynette Busk who assisted with the training of the Debs and being MC for many years and her dad, Danny Busk has been a two time partner.

Debutante Amanda Richards mother Amanda Rose (nee Zillman) made her Debut in Moranbah on the 27 May, 1995, and partner Riley Chapman's mother Kym Chapman (nee Jansen) was a Moranbah deb in 1990.

This year popular CQ Ballroom Dance Band Hot 3 lead by Syd Stickley will play at the Ball.

Please join our youth in a night of dancing and fun.

Local businesses, organisations and companies have been very generous with sponsorship and donations of items for the major raffle.

The Quota of Moranbah would like to thank the following sponsors; the Isaac Regional Council, the Moranbah Community Workers Club, the CFMEU Goonyella/Riverside and Peak Downs Lodges, the Moranbah Freemasons and the Western Heritage Motor Inn.
