A star Indy making

GYANNE Watson has got the Indy fever.

The 20-year-old is headed to the Gold Coast in October to join the Bartercard Miss Indy Team at the Lexmarks Indy 300 after winning first placed in the competiton at Strutter's Night Club on Saturday night.

There she will have the chance to compete for the international title "Face of the Champ Car''.

She said the crowd at Strutter's Nightclub was revved up for the final of the Bartercard Miss Indy 2005 Competiton.

Out of 12 girls, 20-year-old Gyanne Watson claimed the title of Miss Indy, while 18-year-old Courtney Dunnett won first-place runner-up and 21-year-old Janice Scott took out second-place runner-up.

Gyanne said she was impressed by the amount of local support on the evening.

"It was a tough competition this year, better than last year,'' she said.
