ROCKHAMPTON'S women's veteran hockey team is returning to the state's top division.

Playing in the state veterans' titles in Mackay, Rockhampton earned a promotion with a 3-0 win over Gladstone in the division two grand final yesterday after a double to Lee Tunny and a goal to Lea Dwyer.

Rockhampton went through undefeated after earlier wins over Bundaberg (2-0), Mackay (2) (3-0), Gold Coast (2) (6-0) and Tweed Border (3-1).

Rewarded with State team selection were player of division two Sheryl Simpson (35s), Lee Tunny (45s), Evelyn Denney (45s coach), Rosanne McDade (50s) and Di Barrie (55s).
