Bliss is a date in September

WEDDING worries are the least of Tanya Jackson and Mark Ingham's concerns.

The early, engaged, lovebirds were lucky enough to catch themselves a wedding date in September this year, one of the most popular wedding months of the year.

Ms Jackson said, smiling at Mark: "We arranged the wedding date eight months beforehand with celebrant Gwen Simpson.

"But we had to change our original date of September 10 to a week earlier, September 3, because that day was already full. "We chose September as a sign of the first of spring, which I guess a lot of couples want to do,'' she said.

"We wanted Gwen to marry Mark and I because she had previously done the baby naming for my twin daughter Ebony ten years ago.''

While the pressure is on to make the date, Ms Jackson said romance was not dead.

Mr Ingham said he proposed to his fiancee by slipping an engagement ring into her glass of champagne last December at the Frenchville Sports Club.

"I asked her not to drink it fast,'' he laughed.

"We're having our wedding and reception at Diggers Memorial Bowls Club to make it easy for ourselves and our 99 guests.''

Ms Jackson said she met Mr Ingham as a regular customer at his father's service station.

"It was his smile that drew me to him,'' she smiled.
