Brazil, here we come

THE FIELDS of Brazil and England seem a world away, but not for Rockhampton's Danielle Tetteroo and Megan Myers.

The talented Frenchville soccer players are preparing to join Australian futsal tours after bursting on to the international scene for the first time.

Tetteroo, 16, will lead the nataional under-16 side to the Brazilian capital of futsal ? Rio de Janeiro.

Tetteroo will embark on a three-week journey, which includes training camps, games against Brazlian opposition and visiting a Brazlian national league match on her 17th birthday on May 5.

Myers, who last month gained selection in the Queensland under-14 girls' soccer squad, will join the Australian under-15 futsal team's tour of England in October.

The 14-year-old goal-scoring machine will play a series of outdoor and indoor soccer games while on tour and also visit English Premier League clubs Blackburn and Norwich.

Both players said they were excited with the opportunity. Frenchville Sports Club sports manager Justin Kilshaw said the "bright young stars'' represented the club's future.
