Break-ins on the increase
POLICE are warning that break and enters are occurring more regularly in Rockhampton.
They are urging people to be mindful of security and take a more proactive approach.
Police advise to keep security screens locked, close windows before leaving the house, tell neighbours if you are going on holidays and keep cash and valuables out of sight.
A house clearly seen by neighbours and from the street is less likely to be broken into.
Police advise that if you are broken into not to clean up after thieves before police arrive.
Many opportunistic breakins have been occurring in Rockhampton.
