Bring it on, rivals trade blows

On the coach ... with ANDREW RYAN

GIVEN the outcomes of the double header fight night in Perth on Sunday, it seems that the much anticipated Anthony Mundine and Danny Green bout is on.

I for one cannot believe that these blokes are splitting $5.5 million for this bout.

On the world boxing scale, this fight means nothing.

Neither of these guys is a world champion and neither has been a legitimate champion.

This is huge money for local bragging rights, so good luck to both of them.

I can't wait to see it.

While it is great that they are finally going to square off, what happened in Perth on Sunday night was appalling.

Mundine may not be everybody's cup of tea, but he did not deserve to have bottles thrown at him.

The disappointing part of the Perth sideshow was that much of it was orchestrated by Green.

Green has the microphone in the ring after his own bout and was mouthing off and telling the crowd to give it to Mundine ? well, they did just that!

I am a huge fan of Green, but I thought his fans went too far.

One can only hope that next year's bout won't be marred like this, as it is a bout that Australian fight fans have waited too long for.
