Bulls wary of treading on Mudcrabs

A WIN for the Glenmore Bulls today should hand them the minor premiership, but their coach Greg Bowler is also heaping praise on the competition battlers.

The Bulls tackle the Gladstone Mudcrabs at Gladstone's Clinton Park today in the third-last round of the Trend Interiors Carpet Court AFL Capricornia 2005 season.

The main aim is to win and improve on some areas. Despite the hot favouritism Bowler still has praise for his opposition ? a team which won last year's premiership.

"Gladstone still keep trying and you have to give them credit,'' Bowler said.

"Their atmosphere and effort is outstanding.''

It is commitment Bowler rates similar to the CQU Panthers club.

"We beat them (Panthers) by more than 100 points the other week, but I was really impressed with their guys' attitude ? they never gave in.

"Eventually things will always turn around.''

Round 13 (July 23) ? BITS v Yeppoon (Boyne Oval), Gladstone v Glenmore (Clinton Park), CQU Panthers v Brothers (Rockhampton Cricket Grounds).

Points ? Glenmore 44, BITS 36, Brothers 32, Yeppoon 20, CQU Panthers 8, Gladstone 4.
