Capricornia golden run

CAPRICORNIA has dominated the final day of competition at the Pony Club Association of Queensland 2005 State Dressage, Combined Training and Horse Trial Championships at Alton Downs.

The Zone 27 hosts finished first and second to claim back-to-back teams event titles on Saturday.

Joining the gold-medal winning team were Alton Downs trio Kirstie Fossett, sister-act Holly-Jo and Carly-Mae Pye and Crompton Park's John Syme.

Alton Downs' Joseph Rolfe, Gracemere's Gabriel Brown, Crompton Park's Alleisha Priddle and Bonie Price combined to win silver.

The Gold Coast, Zone 2, took out bronze.

Fossett completed the carnival trifecta after securing victory in the restricted horse trials while Holly-Jo Pye also collected gold in the 12 years and under division.

Syme won the novice division, with Carly-Mae Pye runner-up. Other medal winners were, Rolfe (silver, restricted novice), Priddle (silver, improvers), Brown (silver, improvers) and Price (bronze, improvers).
