Capricornia plans ahead for bumper school sport

THE Capricornia region is already planning ahead for a bumper year of school sport in 2006.

Rockhampton will host the national secondary schools tennis championships with the primary school tennis nationals swinging into Mackay.

State titles are also in force.

The 19 years' boys and girls touch football titles will be contested in Rockhampton along with the 12 years' girls primary school State titles with the primary school boy softballers hitting off in Mackay.

Yeppoon's Rydges Capricorn Resort will host the 19 years' golf State titles, which will also include some primary school students.

The 15 years girls' cricket State titles are also coming with Rockhampton or Mackay playing host.
