Champs to emerge from tonight?s scrum

ROCKHAMPTON and District's primary school rugby league stars will be on centre stage when finals fever hits Browne Park tonight.

The 2005 ARL Foundation Development Under-12 Cup and QR Comets Under-11 Shield champions will be crowned tonight. St Anthony's take on giant-killers Mount Archer in the QR Comets Shield decider.

Players to watch from both camps are, Mount Archer's dynamic duo Michael West and Jordan Saunders and St Anthony's Nathan Marshall and James Baartz.

Frenchville and Yeppoon's Sacred Heart will continue their keen rivalry in the ARL Foundation Development Cup grand final, with the winners to play the Gladstone champions.

Games will kick-off at 6.15pm and 7.15pm.

Meanwhile, Rockhampton and District primary school representative teams will travel to Bundaberg this weekend for the opening round of the annual Sullivan Shield.

Rockhampton will host the return matches against their Bundaberg rivals in the curtain-raiser to the Comets round 12 Queensland Cup match against Wynnum on June 4.
