Charge of the clan

? THE CQU Norths Chargers have always been a family club and this weekend is not much different.

The Chargers tackle Fitzroy Gracemere in their round five Rockhampton Local League clash at Browne Park tomorrow night.

Joining the Chargers line-up are cousins Ben, Brad and Selwyn Toby for the top-of-the-table showdown.

Another well-known Toby, Chargers playmaker Anthony, will start on the bench for the Central Comets in Toowoomba tomorrow night.

But the family connection does not stop there, with the Rothery siblings, Wade, Dean and Clint, all starring in the club's round three win over Rockhampton Brothers.

Chargers player-coach Charlie Beresford said these combinations would have to be at their best against a Sharks outfit which boasts strikepower all over the park.

"They've always had the forwards there but they've now got the backs outwide,'' Beresford said.

In the other game, Rockhampton Brothers host Yeppoon at Victoria Park on Sunday.
