Claws turn on one another

CAPRICORN open team-mates will become enemies when they next step onto the netball court in Rockhampton.

Goal attack Angela Horn (Wanderers) and centre Kate Bromley (Buckaneers) were team-mates for Capricorn in the weekend's Regional State League finals in Airlie Beach, but on Wednesday night they are opponents in the Rockhampton Netball Association Senior A major semi-final.

Both Horn and Bromley were named in an honourary team following the finals, along with Moura circle defender Daniella Krauce, while Rockhampton circle defender Keanna Hopkins was named in the 17 years and under honourary team.

The Capricorn Red Claws once again struggled to get past Townsville's Magnetic North team suffering a 58-37 loss in yesterday's final.

Magnetic North controlled the centre court and provided accurate feeds to their shooters while also capitalising on Capricorn mistakes.

Throughout the series' three rounds Capricorn have been un- able to beat Magnetic North after suffering four-goal defeats in the two earlier rounds.

Earlier in the weekend, the final appeared set for a nail-biter after Saturday's games had Capricorn defeat Wide Bay 51-30, Magnetic North scraped home with a four goal win over the same team and they also scored an 11-goal win over Capricorn.
