Colts establish first family link

ALEX Eria and Peter McLaughlin will follow in the footsteps of their fathers when they line up for Colts in this weekend's Rockhampton and District Rugby Union (RDRU) A grade grand final.

The sons of life members, Jimmy Eria and Warren McLaughlin, will play in Colts' decider against University at Rugby Park on Saturday.

They are the first father-andson combinations to play in grand finals for the club.

Colts are sweating on citings from last weekend's wild brawl in their preliminary final win over Dawson Valley.

University will enter the match with an unchanged team, with Rockhampton representative Arno Coetzee's last-ditch attempt to be available suffering another injury setback.

Playing in his comeback game from a serious knee injury in last Saturday's reserve grade preliminary final, Coetzee damaged the AC joint in his shoulder.
