Come on Rockets!

COME on Rockhampton, let's get behind our Stadium Nightclub Rockets.

The Morning Bulletin is pumping up the Rockets rollercoaster and urges you to support this great side.

The Rockets will be hosting a best of three semi-finals series this weekend against Cairns, their first home finals appearance in 10 years.

Hegvold Stadium is expected to be packed to the rafters with an army of Rockets fans, as finals fever takes over the city.

Coach Neal Tweedy said the Cairns Marlins would be facing a hostile reception in this weekend's clash.

"Our record at home this season is 8-1, so the crowd certainly makes a huge impact,'' he said yesterday.

"They could be considered our 'sixth man', to use a basketball phrase. They're definitely the loudest crowd in the competition.''

Tweedy urged Rocky to get behind the team.

"The crowd are the best at putting their hands up and shaking the stands,'' he said. "It works against the opposition, and gives the players a huge lift.''

The Morning Bulletin is offering one lucky reader the chance to see all the live action of the first game on Friday night.

The offer includes two corporate seats in The Morning Bulletin box.
