Court told of rape ordeal

HARRISON Chuck Norris Lynch and a mate took turns at raping a 23-year-old woman in a Rockhampton hotel room, a Dis- trict Court trial heard yesterday.
In his opening address, Crown prosecutor Tony Loudon said the complainant would testify the or- deal lasted about 40 minutes.
She would describe how she cried and pleaded with the men to stop and at one stage was afraid they would put a pillow over her head and suffocate her.
Lynch is on trial after pleading not guilty to two counts of rape and one count of unlawful and in- decent assault in company on September 10, 2004.
Mr Loudon said the complain- ant, who lived at Biloela, came to Rockhampton with a friend for a "girls' weekend out''.
At a local pub she started danc- ing with Lynch, whom she barely knew, and they kissed.
The complainant and her friend later returned to the hotel where they were staying, with Lynch and his mate.
Mr Loudon said the friend be- came unhappy the men were there, and she left.
He said the complainant would tell the court that sex was "on the cards'' with Lynch and that they asked his mate to leave.
An argument followed between Lynch and his mate, and his mate eventually convinced Lynch to "double her''.
Mr Loudon said the men "swapped around a couple of times and took turns''. The trial continues.
