CQ archers hit the state mark

CENTRAL Queensland archers have reached their targets against some of the sharpest-shooters in Australia.

Members of the Capricorn Field Archers Club once again performed strongly at this month's Australian Bowhunters Association state titles in Bundaberg.

Staged on challenging ranges, Dale Tschirpig won the B grade junior boys compound barebow competition.

Fellow young gun Kyle McFadzen took out the C grade junior boys compound barebow event.

In the ladies competition, Anne Tschirpig was crowned D grade recurve champion and Sharon McFadzen won bronze in the B grade ladies compound barebow. Mark McFadzen won silver in the D grade men's recurve competition.
