Dendle puts his name up

ROCKHAMPTON'S Jonathon Dendle has continued his rapid rise and stamped his name as a fighter to watch at this year's Rockhampton PCYC tournament.

The PCYC light heavyweight boxer tasted success in only his second fight in Mackay last weekend.

Dendle outlasted Cairns boxer Ian Berry to win the tough 76kg division bout by a unanimous points decision.

Brodie Kuhn also led the Rockhampton charge when he overcame Palm Island's Ethan West in a hard and fast 51kg division bout.

Preparations are now in full swing for all four boxers in the lead-up to their club's annual fight night on July 16.
