Depleted side calls on fill-in players

YEPPOON coach Graeme White has called on senior player Robbie Wright to "stand up and be counted'' against Wallabys today.

Yeppoon heads into the round 7 Central Queensland Extended League A-grade clash at Marley Brown Oval missing a number of regular players ? none bigger than the loss of playmaker and halfback Joel Duffy.

White is banking on regular five-eighth Wright to fill the void, but said his experienced charge would have to take his game up a level.

"Robbie's been quite content to sit back and let Joel steer us around,'' White said.

"He's got to take on a leadership role this week and direct us around the park.''

Yeppoon will promote at least five under-19 players to the top grade with a number of regulars unavailable due to work commitments.

On the other hand, Wallabys coach Aaron Farrar said the defending premiers were almost at full strength despite fullback Ron Craig being unavailable due to Comets commitments.

"We're extremely confident if our guys turn up to play we'll get the two points,'' he said.

Round 7 ? (Today) Wallabys v Yeppoon (Marley Brown Oval), Biloela v Rockhampton Brothers. (Tomorrow) CQU Norths v Tannum Sands, Fitzroy-Gracemere v Gladstone Brothers, Valleys bye.
