Dominic?s century of the new season



? FRENCHVILLE'S Dominic Mills had the honour of scoring the first century in the Rockhampton Cricket junior season for 2005-06.

Batting at first drop against Gracemere at Kalka Shades last Saturday, Mills retired from the crease with an unbeaten 105 runs to his name in the under16A division clash.

Frenchville went on to post just over 300 runs leaving Gracemere with a big run chase this Saturday.

In the under-11s at Kettle Park, Bluebirds Bichel won a thrilling contest against Gracemere Green, posting a team average of 9.9 with Gracemere averaging 9.7.

Leading the run scoring for Bluebirds were Dylan Plummer (17) and Trent Cough (15) while Gracemere's top scorers were Peter Flower (12) and Toby Barraclough (10).

In the bowling ranks Bluebirds' Tyler Sunderland claimed 3/7 while Gracemere's Blake Moger finished with 3/13.

Brothers also scraped home against Gracemere Gold scoring a 10.7 average compared to 10.2.

Top scorers were Brothers' Jonah Placid (17) and Gracemere's Josh Ballard (16) while the leading bowlers were Brothers' Curtis Duff (3/10) and Gracemere's Congan Brewster (3/7).

The under-9 division produced some one-sided contests with Trent Acutt belting 33 runs in Gracemere's win over Bluebirds while Frenchville had a big win over Barbarians.
