Fearless Cyclones head south

A NEW-LOOK Rockhampton Hog's Breath Cafe Cyclones outfit will take a "no fear approach'' on to the court this season.

Bolstered by the arrival of Irish international Sue Moran this week, the Cyclones are looking to get their 2006 campaign off to a flying start in this weekend's double-header against South West Metro on Saturday night.

"We're just going to go full-on into the season .?.?. a no fear approach,'' Cyclones coach Kevin Bolck said yesterday.

"We're looking good and are ready to go.''

The Cyclones' other prized signing, New Zealand's Aneka Kerr, will link with the squad in Brisbane on Saturday.

Kerr, who played WNBL with the Townsville Fire last season, is fresh from winning a silver medal with the Kiwis at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

Bolck said his team was confident of repeating last year's winning result on the road against South West, which would be a "huge confidence-booster'' for Sunday's showdown with competition powerhouse Brisbane Capitals.
