Fuel hike hits hard

RISING fuel costs are not only hitting drivers' pockets, they are also pushing up prices for delivery and taxi services.

Courier services have especially noticed the high petrol costs.

Many Central Queensland courier businesses have had to impose a fuel levy just to survive the increases.

Around Town Couriers recently added a 5% fuel levy to their services.

Dale Lymbrey, operations manager for Around Town, said they had to impose the levy. .
