Full house for concert

THE Dance Star Studio annual concert sold out the Pilbeam Theatre on Saturday for a fun filled night with the family.

Students of the studio enjoyed the highlights of the stage and performance, while families had the pleasure of applauding for those they knew on stage.

Principal of the studio, Natasha Williams, said yesterday that 176 of her students entertained the audience with 26 items.

"It is to showcase to family and friends what everyone has learned over the year,'' she said.

"The kids love to perform and being on stage, and the parents love watching them.''

This was the studio's fifth concert, marking five years since the studio opened.

Mrs Williams, who has been dancing since she was four-years-old, also took to the stage to dance a tap and jazz routine with the other adult students who attend classes at the studio.

The concert marked the end of the year for the studio, which will begin again with the new school year.

Yesterday all students joined in at the end-of-year party and relaxed by the pool at the Girls Grammar School Rockhampton.
