Georgy sets the beep tone

ONE of the toughest decisions Emerald's Georgy Cumming has to make on the squash court is whether to stick with the sport.

At only 12 years old, Georgy is fast swinging into success having made her Queensland team debut at last year's nationals.

The talented young athlete, who is also pretty handy on the touch football field, first picked up a racquet as a seven-year-old and has impressed invitational coach Mark Forster at this week's junior squash clinic at Rockhampton's Squash World.

"We did a beep test and she went 9.2 ? she's the fastest girl here,'' Forster said.

Georgy has joined players from Rockhampton, Moura, Moranbah and Brisbane for the four-day camp.
