Going potty over a cuppa

ROCKHAMPTON mothers are invited to hold their pinkies up with the Queensland Cancer Fund for a Mother's Day afternoon tea.

The Rockhampton branch of the Queensland Cancer Fund will host the event including a novelty teapot competition.

Rockhampton branch chairperson Denise Horton said the afternoon tea would be held on May 7 from 1.30pm at the Rockhampton High School Assembly Hall, Campbell Street.

She said everyone was encouraged to bring along their most interesting teapots.

"Last year we raised almost $7000 from the morning tea and the raffle and this year we hope to beat that target. The money raised will go to Rockhampton's Nurse of the Year entrants Gail Tummon and Ruth Cole to aid cancer research.''

Tickets are available from the Cancer Fund office, Upper Dawson Road, or by phoning 4927?7088.
