Hogg wins accolade for track results
ROCKHAMPTON'S Jeremy Hogg has been named the Rockhampton Cycling Club's best performing cyclist for the 2005-06 season.
Hogg broke through into the world junior track cycling scene last year, winning a bronze medal for Australia in the men's team sprint at the 2005 World Junior Track Championships in Vienna, Austria.
He gained team selection after winning the under-19 men's keirin and team sprint at last year's nationals, along with a bronze in the 1km time trial.
Rockhampton Cycling Club's most improved riders were Ben Moore (track) and Chris Roach (road) while attendance awards went to Joel Callaghan and Melanie Plane, who were consistently present at track and road races.
The rider participation in club affairs went to Alex Bright. John Phelan has been returned as club president.
Club captains are Anouska Edwards and Ryan James.
