Holznagel is ready to tackle rugby abroad



? ROCKHAMPTON Grammar School first XV inside centre Blair Holznagel is ready to step up against some international rugby union competition.

Holznagel joined Grammar's preparations for their annual tour of New Zealand in Brisbane last weekend.

Playing the Gold Coast's Somerset College, Holznagel scored two tries in Grammar's commanding 43-7 victory.

Holznagel's mid-field partner in crime, outside centre Cooper Nobbs, was also at his attacking best.

The Grammar forwards helped set the platform in a strong per- formance up-front, scoring five of the team's tries. Grammar will continue to finetune their preparations when they hit the road again this weekend to face Brisbane's Gregory Terrace second XV.

The Rockhampton Secondary Schools rugby union powerhouse embark on their tour of New Zealand on June 17.
