Hoolihan: Count me out

MEMBER for Keppel Paul Hoolihan isn't going to a meeting about health services on Thursday night.

Mr Hoolihan said he didn't see the point of going to the public meeting organised by Livingstone Shire Council, considering he had held a public meeting earlier this month.

"The real issue is that the Capricorn Coast community will be getting a larger hospital and 72 high-care, aged-care beds in a new facility although that new facility may not be operated by Queensland Health,'' he said. Shire Mayor Bill Ludwig said agenda topics included aged care, co-location of health facilities, specialist services, planning and traffic concerns.

The public meeting will be held at 7pm at the Yeppoon Town Hall.
